Philly Roller Girls Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Boots: Stock Riedell 595 with Shearling tongue lining - black Plates: PowerDyne Reactor Wheels: Radar Devil Ray Orange Cushions: PowerDyne Magic Cushions - Yellow (85A) Bearings: KwiK Swiss Nitride Bio: It’s a funny chain of events that got me started in roller derby. I was out with a friend at a local bar on a night the Carolina Rollergirls were recruiting. My friend met a derby girl that he was interested in, so he convinced me to join the roller derby team so that he could have further opportunities to see this woman. He got the woman. I got roller derby. I've come along way since that first day at the rink. I couldn't skate, at all, but I've always been competitive. I competed as a gymnast for 15 years growing up. In high school I even participated in the first women's pole vault team. I think my athletic background and competitive nature have driven me to stay competitive in roller derby for the last 7 years. I currently skate with the Philly Roller Girls and have for 5 years now. I skate for the Heavy Metal Hookers and the Liberty Belles. I have an immense love for teaching skating and roller derby, especially new skaters. I'm currently the head of PRG's Freshmeat Training Program and enjoy traveling to coach other skaters and leagues.
